Dental Services
Why PJN Dentistry for your dentistry needs
Often, our patients are surprised about how much overall health is affected by dental care. In holistic dental care, along with traditional dentistry, we work to perform routine cleanings, provide repair for damaged or decaying teeth, replace missing teeth, and treat other oral issues. The difference is that when we approach these procedures, we often have various treatment plans that we can use. The mouth is a direct entry way for bacteria into the bloodstream, which can cause a variety of problems in the body. We always take the overall body into consideration and work to find and treat the root of the problem instead of just your surface symptoms. We also treat all of our patients using the safest materials that are on the market.
What We Offer
Cosmetic Dentistry
Beautiful teeth are a very important part of having a beautiful smile, which helps us to have more confidence in our appearance. It’s absolutely necessary to keep your teeth in good condition through regular cleanings and dentistry appointments, but we can also take you a step further. Many people have damaged or misaligned teeth, which can make you not want to show your teeth while smiling. Dr. Nguyen and his staff at PJN Dental can help you to have the best smile through using a digital imaging system, which can show you how your smile can look after the treatment. This includes cosmetic dentistry, general dentistry, restorative dentistry, tooth fillings, whitening, bridges, dental implants, porcelain and gold crowns, and Invisalign. We want to assist you in attaining your best smile imaginable!
Dental Implants
The idea of getting dental implants can feel overwhelming, though it doesn’t have to be! If you have lost a tooth and do not want to wear dentures, dental implants are an accessible option. This allows for a more permanent way to replace a missing tooth, while also getting your smile back to being its best.
When you visit us at PJN Dental, we will assess your teeth and help you begin the process toward recovering your smile. Having a dental implant is important for more than just aesthetics. Your dental hygiene will improve as well, as the procedure will give you a tooth that can last for the rest of your life if you take care of it properly.
Orthodontics
The alignment of the teeth is not only a solution to improve esthetics, but often it’s also a long term solution to chronic dental problems such as abrasion, abfraction, TMJ pain, malocclusion, and more. Compared to traditional methods, this has proven to attain results for you in half of the time. It is also easier to keep the teeth clean, as they can easily be taken off and put back on. In terms of options, Invisalign is the most advanced clear aligner on the market. It uses state-of-the-art 3D printing technology and is the most comfortable in regards to fitted aligners available.
Sleep Apnea Treatments
Did you know that dentists are able to provide an appliance that has the power to relieve sleep apnea? Sleep apnea is a disorder which is characterized by pauses, or periods of shallow breathing when one is asleep. Other symptoms which are commonly associated with sleep apnea are snoring and a feeling of tiredness, even after a long night’s sleep.
When you are resting, the muscles of the tongue and throat are more relaxed. As this happens for a person with sleep apnea, a blockage of the airway occurs which makes it difficult to breathe. During this pause, the lack of oxygen pulls the brain from the state of deep sleep and into a lighter sleep. It can also cause the person to wake up regularly, resulting in extreme tiredness. With the help of a dentist, there are various mouthpieces that you can be prescribed that will assist with this. The mandibular advancement device pulls the lower jaw (plus the tongue) forward and holds open the collapsible part of the airway. Tongue retaining devices pull the tongue forward, which can also keep the airway from becoming blocked. If the dentist diagnoses you with sleep apnea, you will then be fitted with one of these dental devices. We are also qualified to customize the mouthpiece for maximum comfort and fit.
3D Imaging
As part of Dr. Nguyen’s tooth by tooth comprehensive exam, we offer a Cone Beam CT Scan in order to provide a more accurate and complete treatment plan with better visualization. Dr Nguyen can view a high definition image of your teeth and jaw in order to discuss what plan is best recommended for your health and smile. Through the scan, he is able to find answers to different dental issues, which are not easily diagnosed with a 2D picture. He can also place implants faster and more precisely than before advancements in 3D technology.
One Visit Crown & Bridges
CEREC technology allows Dr. Nguyen to create natural looking and durable fillings, crowns, veneers and bridges using biocompatible ceramic and zirconia materials in one single visit. State of the art CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) has allowed for these restorations to become even more precise, delivering high quality and long term results. Dr Nguyen has mastered this technology through extensive educational and clinical training, while restoring over 7,000 teeth using this technology. Above all, Dr Nguyen’s motivation is to offer overall convenience for his patients in just one visit.
